Investing in Our Future

Sun Life Financial is providing $332,500 to secondary schools in Toronto, Waterloo and Ottawa-Carleton through their “Investing In Our Future” grant program to encourage healthy lifestyles. Secondary schools may apply for grants up to $2,500 to supplement existing nutrition and fitness programs and/or create new programs that encourage healthy eating and active living.

To supplement the $2,500 Sun Life “Investing in Our Future” grant, secondary schools and qualifying intermediate schools in the TDSB may apply for an additional $1,000 through the Ministry of Education “Healthy Student Engagement” fund. The application for this grant is provided by the TDSB Health and Physical Education Department and is available on this website as well as from the Health and Physical Education Department.

These grants provide excellent opportunities for school communities to work together in support of healthy living.
